Product use

Oil production industry: used in oil well acidification, injecting acid into the cavities of the oil well to melt the rocks, leaving an open column behind to accelerate oil production from the well.
Steel pickling: removing rust on steel, that is iron oxides, before the steel is put to use for other purposes such as rolling, electroplating and other techniques.
Production of organic compounds: production of organic compounds such as vinyl chloride and dichloroethane to produce PVC, other organic compounds produced from HCl such as bisphenol A to produce polycarbonate, activated carbon, and ascorbic acid , as well as in some pharmaceutical products
Production of inorganic compounds: production of water treatment chemicals such as iron(III) chloride and polyaluminium chloride (PAC); other chemicals such as salt calcium chloride, nickel (II) chloride for electroplating and zinc chloride for the plating industry and battery manufacturing
Regeneration by ion exchange: use HCl acid with Fe3+ content ≤ 0.8ppm to separate adsorbed cations into plastic particles: Na+ is replaced by H+, Ca2+ is replaced by 2H+ (if the iron content in the acid is large will inactivate the plastic beads).
pH control and neutralization: Acid HCl can be used to adjust the basicity of a solution.

In industries requiring purity (food, pharmaceutical, drinking water), high quality hydrochloric acid is used to adjust the pH of the water to be treated. In industries that do not require high purity, industrial quality HCl is just enough to neutralize wastewater and treat pool water.
In the textile dyeing industry: used to adjust the dye solution environment (requires iron content less than 0.03%), post-dying wastewater treatment
Some other applications: Tanning, house cleaning, gelatin production, chitin – glucosamine production…
