Disinfect water: Kill bacteria and viruses that cause disease in drinking water, swimming pools
Bleach manufacture: Manufactures household chlorine bleach, whitens and disinfects clothes, and disinfects kitchen and bathroom surfaces.
In the organic chemistry industry: As one of the raw materials for the production of VCM (Vinyl Chloride Monomer), used to synthesize PVC.
In other industries: widely used in the production of rubber gloves, paper production (bleaching pulp), dyes, foodstuffs, pesticides, paints, petrochemical products, plastics, pharmaceuticals products, textiles, solvents.
